Think of a prision in a devloping country and I am sure you don’t have a pretty picture in mind, I certinaly did not until I was offered an extremly rare oppertunity to visit Kandal Provincial Prison this week. The prison is an interesting place as it helps prisoners to develop skills and earn money whilst serving their time. One of the major reasons for the quality of the establishment was a $1 million investment from the Australian government aid agnercy, AusAid to redesign and build the prison in 2006.
